Job Description
Summary
The Safety Manager under supervision of the Safety/Training Director and/or Assistant Safety Director is responsible for ensuring safe working conditions and practices at assigned company job sites through safety training, inspections, quality control and reinforcement of safety laws, regulations and standards.
Essential Duties &
Responsibilities:
Responsible for assuring all company employees are following all company policies and procedures
Ensure fall protection devices are installed and used correctly at all times
Conduct safety and training for field employees
Administer the company's safety discipline program
Conduct site safety orientations
Minimize lost time on accidents through working with Medical providers, insurance provider, and light duty program
Write and file company required reports and maintain all related documents and reports per company policies and procedures
Attend seminars, trade shows and company meetings
Conduct job site tours for VIPS and other invited visitors
Report and coordinate any time off w/project team and Director of Safety/Training
Meet goals set by company and Director of Safety/Training
Maintain safe walk audit (keep above 97%)
Call/email Director of Safety & Training once a month minimum, maintaining clear and accurate communication.

Required Skills
Minimum Qualifications/Experience/Education
High School Graduate or Equivalent
1 plus years construction field experience, and 3 plus years safety experience in a Refinery
Proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point, H2S Monitoring, Air Quality Testing, Confined Spaces
Good public speaking and presentation skills
Current Driver's License, OSHA 500, Train the Trainer, Scaffold, Aerial Lift & Scissor Lifts, NCCER 100 hour Tech, Confined Space, Lock Out Tag, and Fall Protection Training/Certs required
CHST or Safety Tech, ASP and/or CSP Certifications required
Physical Requirements/ Working Conditions
Normal construction job site conditions to include loud noises, dust, potential unseen hazards, heavy equipment operating within close range. May include exposure to heights at times in excess of 40 feet. May include confined spaces, being exposed to outdoor elements for long periods of time, and may work long hours.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
